"The Portable College Essay Tutor" demonstrates to students how to
save time writing while also teaching them how to write effectively
based on what I've learned as a professional one-on-one tutor, a
classroom instructor for Developmental English, and as a student. Both
time and guidance have been, in my experience, two of the most
connected factors in distinguishing the difference between a
struggling writer, and a thriving one. This digital book will help
students become skillful, confident writers in the shortest time
possible, unlike many other college-writing reference books that
either contain too much complicated information or not enough
explanation.

In "The Portable College Essay Tutor", students will effectively learn
how to create a plan during their writing process that actually
removes wasteful time spent in working without one. At the same time,
students will learn how to build writing skills by growing from each
writing experience. The overall goal was to create a guide that is
encouraging for students to keep and use, knowing that help is there
when they need it, and that it is to the point and easy to use. I tell
students that tutoring is a process of enlightenment-recognizing their
strengths and strengthening their weaknesses.
