So says "Dennis Kemmerer," but I am betting that Dennis has not gone
door to door and physically spoken to several hundreds of people like I
have.

Actually, Ron Paul is more of a William Taft and Barry Goldwater GOP
Conservative than anything. He is a strict Constitutionalist who is
rejected by many Libertarian Party members because of his
Constitutionalist positions which place primacy on Constitutional law
over the concept of natural law.

And indeed, there was a huge argument in the early days of our Republic
over the breadth and scope of Federal power. Much of the writing in the
Federalist Papers was in favor of a strong Federal Government, which was
opposed by most of the Founders, including Thomas Jefferson.

The Federalist Papers record much of this argument from both sides,
rather than the one sided view you are insinuating here.
