Just a wild guess. The Wildcats scored 7 points in their first game and 45
points in their second game. That means they are averaging 26 points per
game. So why not pick them to score 26?

ASU - 41, SDS - 13

Carpentar has been sharp and on target with his passing so the Sun Devils
should put up lots of points against the Aztecs. San Diego State doesn't
have the talent level to do much against the second Pac-10 team they have
faced this year.

> Louisiana Tech at California

Cal - 45, LaTech - 16

Way too much offense from Cal to make this anything other than a big win for
the Bears. The question that will be answered is how soon with Tedford take
his foot off the gas and decide his team has scored enough.

> Fresno State at Oregon

UO - 27, Fresno - 24

The Bulldogs play tough on the road. The Ducks might have a let down after
last week's big win. UO will get out front early and them hang on to win a
close one.

> Idaho State at Oregon State

OSU - 31, Idaho State - 7

Until the Beavers decide which guy is their full-time QB because he can
complete passes, I don't see them doing much on offense except for pounding
out their running game. That style of play will keep the scoring down even
against this Div-1AA opponent.

> San Jose State at Stanford

Stanford - 27, SJS - 24

The home team traditionally wins this Bay Area match-up. This year it's
Stanford's turn.

> Ohio State at Washington

tOSU - 17, UW - 16

I'm tempted to take the Huskies in an upset, but only because Michigan
looked so bad last week. But then decided transference only works in
psychology and not on a football field. This will be a hard fought game and
UW should keep it real close.

> Idaho at Washington State

WSU - 38, UI - 17

Brink is having a great start and may be the best QB in the conference. The
Vandals are battle tested and will come prepared to duke it out. The
Cougars have the edge based on how their offense has been rolling.

> UCLA at Utah

UCLA - 33, Utah - 17

The Bruins will wear down the Utes with their running game. Utah will throw
lots of passes and the UCLA defense will snag a couple of them and score a
defensive TD or two.

> USC at Nebraska

USC - 38, UN - 17

The Trojans treated the Idaho game like a pre-season scrimmage. This week
the real deal will be on the field. Most of the starters are healthy and
ready to play. This is the national stage and time to shine. Fight On!
